Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These terms govern your use of Capendium (“the App”), a capital intelligence platform operated by Capendium (“we,” “us”). By using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Not financial advice. The App displays a view of your own portfolio data. It is not investment advice, financial planning, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. It is not regulated by any financial authority. Any investment decisions you make are entirely your own responsibility.

1. What the App does

The App lets you record transactions, NAV values, and target allocations for an investment portfolio, and presents charts and metrics computed from the data you provide. It also fetches public market quotes from third parties (Yahoo Finance, MAS) and, optionally, position data from your Interactive Brokers account via the IBKR Flex Query API.

2. Account and access

  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure (whether email/password or your Google account).
  • Each account is intended for use by one person. You may share read-only access to a portfolio with another user through the in-app share feature; you are responsible for who you share with.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you abuse the service (see Acceptable Use below).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal activity.
  • Attempt to break, probe, or overload the service or its third-party providers (Supabase, Vercel, Yahoo, MAS, IBKR).
  • Reverse engineer the App for the purpose of attacking it.
  • Use the App to scrape or redistribute data from third-party providers in violation of those providers’ own terms.
  • Impersonate another person or attempt to access another user’s portfolio without explicit shared access.

4. Data and ownership

You own the portfolio data you enter. We store it on your behalf so the App can show it back to you. We do not claim any rights to your data and we do not use it for any purpose other than running the App for you. You can request deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy).

5. Accuracy and disclaimers

  • The App displays values based on (a) data you enter, (b) public market data fetched from third parties, and (c) calculations the App performs. Each of these can be wrong. We do not guarantee that any value, return, or metric shown is accurate.
  • Market data feeds can be delayed, missing, or incorrect. FX rates may not reflect rates available to you in practice.
  • Past performance does not predict future performance.
  • The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Capendium is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to financial losses caused by reliance on data or calculations shown in the App, data loss, service interruption, or unauthorized access to your account. Capendium is not insured, audited, or operated as a regulated financial service.

7. Service availability

The App is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime guarantee. We may modify, suspend, or shut down the App at any time, with or without notice. You should keep your own independent record of your investment data; do not treat the App as a system of record.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on third parties (Supabase, Vercel, Google, Yahoo Finance, MAS, Interactive Brokers). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or data loss caused by third parties.

9. Data attribution

The App displays Singapore Government Securities (SGS) benchmark yield data sourced from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (https://www.mas.gov.sg). This data is made available under the terms of the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0. The MAS does not endorse the App and is not affiliated with Capendium. MAS API usage is also subject to the MAS API Terms of Service.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may change over time. If they change materially, the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from the App will be handled in the courts of Singapore.
